What is a herbal tincture?
A herbal tincture is an alcoholic extract of a herb. The ingredients are very simple. All you need is the herb, fresh or dried and vodka. I recommend vodka because it has no taste of its own, only contains alcohol and water and is easily available all around the world. The extra benefits of using tinctures is that they last a very long time, are easy to take, are stronger than teas and only require small dosages. The downside is that they often taste terrible, but since you may only need to take a few drops it is usually quite bearable. |
